
Our Story
Founded in 2024 by New Jersey native Nate Henderson, Jersey Organics emerged from his passion for, agriculture, cooking, food processing. Nate found his love for agriculture through his time working in food service. As he became more interested in cooking, he was naturally lead to food production and farming.
After growing vegetables in the Ithaca Community Garden in Ithaca NY for a few years, he decided to explore his interest further. In 2022 Nate travelled down to Chile through the World Wide Opportunities on Organic Farms (WWOOF) program and lived with the Ross-Guineo Family. While living with the family, Nate learned how to grow organic vegetables, milk cows and on-farm food processing. His time in Chile was transformative and helped guide his work today.

​​After returning to New Jersey, Nate began building a small organic farm, utilizing low cost inputs and focusing on resiliency. Once the abundance of produce started flowing, he began to explore fermenting vegetables and making hot sauce.

The hot sauce became a huge hit among friends, which motivated Nate to push forward and create Jersey Organics!

Today, to fulfill the produce demand, Nate also works with local organic farms in New Jersey to grow peppers and other ingredients. Outside of the growing season, Jersey Organics utilizes an organic produce distributor in California.
